Mazda Reveals Updated Mazda6 and Mazda CX-5
- On display at the Los Angeles Auto Show alongside the all-new Mazda CX-3 and all-new Mazda MX-5 -
HIROSHIMA, Japan—Mazda Motor Corporation today revealed updated versions of the Mazda6 (known as Mazda Atenza in Japan) and Mazda CX-5 at the Los Angeles Auto Show.*1 The updated models will go on sale in Japan and the USA in January 2015 before being rolled out to other global markets.
Both the updated Mazda6 and CX-5 adopt Mazda's latest ideas and technologies to offer new levels of depth and maturity. They feature a more refined design expression, enhanced dynamic performance for a higher-quality and more comfortable ride, the Mazda Connect car connectivity system,*2 and Mazda's i-ACTIVSENSE advanced safety technologies. Furthermore, they become the first Mazda models to adopt new-generation Adaptive LED Headlights (ALH),*3 offering the driver enhanced hazard-recognition support at night.
The updated Mazda6 and CX-5 are on display at the Los Angeles Auto Show together with the all-new Mazda CX-3 compact crossover SUV and all-new Mazda MX-5 (Mazda Roadster in Japan), the automaker's iconic two-seater open-top sports car.
