Mazda Production and Sales Results for March 2014 and for April 2013 through March 2014 (Flash Report)
Mazda Motor Corporation's production and sales results for March 2014 and for April 2013 through March 2014 are summarized below.
I. Production
Note: As of January 2007, overseas production figures are based on Mazda brand units coming off the production line (does not include CKD units).
1. Domestic Production (1) March 2014 Mazda's total production volume in March 2014 increased 0.4% compared to March 2013 due to increased production of commercial vehicles.

(2) April 2013 through March 2014 Mazda's domestic production volume in the period from April 2013 through March 2014 increased 10.6% year-on-year due to increased production of both passenger and commercial vehicles.

2. Overseas Production (1) March 2014 Mazda's overseas production volume in March 2014 decreased 8.6% compared to March 2013, reflecting decreased production of commercial vehicles.

(2) April 2013 through March 2014 Mazda's total overseas production volume in the period from April 2013 through March 2014 decreased 7.5% year-on-year, due to decreased production of both passenger and commercial vehicles.

II. Domestic Sales
(1) March 2014 Mazda's total domestic sales volume in March 2014 increased 21.3% compared to March 2013 due to increased sales of both passenger and commercial vehicles. Mazda's registered vehicle market share was 5.2% (unchanged year-on-year), with a 3.0% share of the micro-mini segment (up 0.5 points year-on-year) and a 4.4% total market share (up 0.2 points year-on-year).

(2) April 2013 through March 2014 Mazda's total domestic sales volume in the period from April 2013 through March 2014 increased 12.6% year-on-year, due to increased sales of both passenger and commercial vehicles. Mazda's registered vehicle market share was 5.3% (up 0.2 points year-on-year), with a 2.8% share of the micro-mini segment (up 0.2 points year-on-year) and a 4.3% total market share (up 0.1 points year-on-year).

III. Exports
(1) March 2014 Mazda's export volume in March 2014 increased 10.7% compared to March 2013 due to increased shipments to North America, Europe and other regions.
