Mazda Production and Sales Results for December 2013 and for January through December 2013 (Flash Report)
Mazda Motor Corporation's production and sales results for December 2013 and for January through December 2013 are summarized below.
I. Production
Note: As of January 2007, overseas production figures are based on Mazda brand units coming off the production line (does not include CKD units).
1. Domestic Production (1) December 2013 Mazda's total domestic production volume in December 2013 increased 5.0% compared to December 2012 due to increased production of both passenger and commercial vehicles.

(2) January through December 2013 Mazda's domestic production volume in the period from January through December 2013 increased 14.3% compared to the same period in 2012, due to increased production of both passenger and commercial vehicles.

2. Overseas Production (1) December 2013 Mazda's total overseas production volume in December 2013 increased 27.8% compared to December 2012, reflecting increased production of passenger vehicles.

(2) January through December 2013 Mazda's overseas production volume in the period from January through December 2013 decreased 13.4% compared to the same period in 2012, due to reduced production of both passenger and commercial vehicles.

II. Domestic Sales
(1) December 2013 Mazda's total domestic sales volume in December 2013 increased 30.3% compared to December 2012, due to increased sales of both passenger and commercial vehicles. Mazda's registered vehicle market share was 4.8% (up 0.5 points year-on-year), with a 2.3% share of the micro-mini segment (down 0.2 points year-on-year) and a 3.8% total market share (up 0.1 points year-on-year).

(2) January through December 2013 Mazda's total domestic sales volume in the period from January through December 2013 increased 4.5% compared to the same period in 2012, due to increased sales of both passenger and commercial vehicles. Mazda's registered vehicle market share was 5.2% (up 0.3 points year-on-year), with a 2.8% share of the micro-mini segment (up 0.1 points year-on-year) and a 4.2% total market share (up 0.1 points year-on-year).

III. Exports
(1) December 2013 Mazda's export volume in December 2013 decreased 0.7% compared to December 2012, reflecting reduced shipments to North America and others.
