HIROSHIMA, Japan—Mazda Motor Corporation and its affiliate company in China, Mazda Motor (China) Co., Ltd. announced today they will donate 2 million RMB to support rescue efforts and aid a swift recovery in the region affected by the earthquake of April 20, 2013.

Noriaki Yamada, Mazda's Managing Executive Officer in charge of China business and Chairman and CEO of Mazda Motor (China) Co., Ltd. commented, "I would like to offer our deepest condolences to those affected by the Sichuan earthquake. I believe that it is the duty of those of us involved in business in China to give as much support as we can to the relief and recovery efforts that are largely being organized by the Chinese government."
