Mazda Motor Corporation’s production and sales results for May 2010 are summarized below.

1. Domestic Production
Mazda’s total domestic production volume in May 2010 increased year-on-year for the sixth consecutive month, growing 39.6% compared to May 2009, due to increased production of passenger and commercial vehicles.

Mazda6 (Atenza):	7,439 units	(up 87.0% year-on-year)
CX-7:	5,972 units	(up 718.1% year-on-year)
CX-9:	4,514 units	(up 125.5% year-on-year)

2. Overseas Production
Posting a year-on-year increase for the twelfth consecutive month, Mazda’s overseas production volume in May 2010 improved 65.8% on May 2009, reflecting healthy production of passenger and commercial vehicles.

Mazda’s total domestic sales volume in May 2010 increased year-on-year for the eighth consecutive month, growing 38.7% compared to May 2009, due to healthy sales of passenger and commercial vehicles.
Mazda’s registered vehicle market share was 5.9% (up 0.7 points year-on-year), with a 3.1% share of the micro-mini segment (up 0.2 points year-on-year) and a 4.9% total market share (up 0.6 points year-on-year).

Mazda’s export volume in May 2010 increased year-on-year for the sixth consecutive month, growing 45.5% over May 2009 due to increased shipments to North America, Europe and other regions (the Middle East, Asia, Central & South America and Africa).
