Mazda Motor Corporation’s production and sales results for October 2009 are summarized below.

1. Domestic Production
Mazda’s domestic production volume of passenger and commercial vehicles in October 2009 decreased 19.4% compared to October 2008.

Mazda2 (Demio):	13,040 units	(down 34.8% year-on-year)

2. Overseas Production
Posting a year-on-year increase for the fifth consecutive month, Mazda’s overseas production volume in October 2009 improved 15.4% on the prior year, reflecting healthy production of passenger vehicles.

Mazda’s total domestic sales volume in October 2009 increased 6.9% compared to last year, reflecting healthy sales of passenger vehicles.
Mazda’s registered vehicle market share was 4.9% (unchanged year-on-year), with a 2.8% share of the micro-mini segment (unchanged year-on-year) and a 4.2% total market share (up 0.1 points year-on-year).
