HIROSHIMA, Japan—Mazda Motor Corporation today issued the Mazda Sustainability Report 2009 in Japanese. It outlines Mazda’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) policies as well as achievements for fiscal year 2008 (April 2008 to March 2009). The English version of the Sustainability Report 2009 will be released at the end of September.
Also today, Mazda released its Annual Report 2009 in Japanese and English. It features management information and financial news for investors and shareholders.
The Mazda Sustainability Report 2009 covers Mazda’s CSR activities that are aimed at contributing to the development of a sustainable society. To reflect this, the title of the report was changed from “Social and Environmental Report” to “Sustainability Report.” This year’s report touches on Mazda CSR activities which are focused mainly on the following three areas:
Mazda has published an environmental report since 2001. The title was updated to Social and Environmental Report in 2004 when societal information was also included. This year marks the ninth edition of the company report.
