Mazda Motor Corporation’s production and sales results for July 2009 are summarized below.

1. Domestic Production
Mazda’s domestic production volume of passenger and commercial vehicles in July 2009 decreased 24.6% compared to July 2008.

Mazda3 (Axela):	36,137 units	(down 9.4% year-on-year)
Mazda2 (Demio):	18,547 units	(down 8.7% year-on-year)

2. Overseas Production
Posting a year-on-year increase for the second consecutive month, Mazda’s overseas production volume in July 2009 improved 29.2% on July 2008, reflecting healthy production of passenger vehicles.

Mazda’s total domestic sales volume of passenger and commercial vehicles in July 2009 decreased 14.3% compared to July 2008.
Mazda’s registered vehicle market share was 5.8% (down 0.5 points year-on-year), with a 2.7% share of the micro-mini segment (down 0.5 points year-on-year) and a 4.8% total market share (down 0.5 points year-on-year).
