Mazda Motor Corporation’s production and sales results for June 2009 and for January through June 2009 are summarized below.

I. Production

Mazda’s domestic production volume of passenger and commercial vehicles in June 2009 decreased 28.4% compared to June 2008.

Mazda’s domestic production volume of passenger and commercial vehicles in the period from January through June 2009 decreased 50.5% compared to the same period in 2008.

2. Overseas Production
(1) June 2009
Due to healthy production of passenger vehicles, Mazda’s total overseas production volume in June 2009 increased 34.5% compared to June 2008.

Amid diminished overall market demand, Mazda’s total domestic sales volume of passenger and commercial vehicles in June 2009 decreased 9.7% compared to June 2008.
Mazda’s registered vehicle market share was 5.6% (up 0.6 points year-on-year), with a 2.8% share of the micro-mini segment (down 0.3 points year-on-year) and a 4.6% total market share (up 0.3 points year-on-year).

Amid diminished overall market demand, Mazda’s total domestic sales volume of passenger and commercial vehicles in the period from January through June 2009 decreased 29.3% compared to the same period in 2008.
Mazda’s registered vehicle market share was 5.4% (down 0.4 points year-on-year), with a 2.9% share of the micro-mini segment (down 0.2 points year-on-year) and a 4.4% total market share (down 0.4 points year-on-year).
