Mazda Motor Corporation’s production and sales results for April 2009 are summarized below.

1. Domestic Production
Due to a reduction in global demand, Mazda’s domestic production volume of passenger and commercial vehicles in April 2009 decreased 47.0% compared to April 2008.

Mazda2 (Demio):	11,689 units	(down 26.6% year-on-year)

2. Overseas Production
Due to a reduction in global demand, Mazda’s overseas production volume of passenger and commercial vehicles in April 2009 decreased 31.6% compared to April 2008.

Amid diminished overall market demand, Mazda’s total domestic sales volume of passenger and commercial vehicles in April 2009 decreased 33.0% compared to April 2008.
Mazda’s registered vehicle market share was 4.7% (down 0.7 points year-on-year), with a 2.6% share of the micro-mini segment (unchanged year-on-year) and a 3.8% total market share (down 0.6 points year-on-year).
