Mazda Production and Sales Results for June 2008 and for January through June 2008 (Flash Report)
Mazda Motor Corporation’s production and sales results for June 2008 and for January through June 2008 are summarized below.
I. Production
Note: As of January 2007, overseas production figures are based on Mazda brand units coming off the production line (does not include CKD units).

II. Domestic Sales
(1) June 2008 Despite healthy sales of the Mazda6 (Atenza), the domestic sales volume for June 2008 decreased 8.6% over the same month last year. Mazda’s registered vehicle market share was 5.0% (down 0.5 points year-on-year), with a 3.1% share (up 0.2 points) of the micro-mini segment and a 4.3% total market share (down 0.3 points).

III. Exports
(1) June 2008 June 2008 exports exceeded the volume for the same month last year, up 37.2% year-on-year, mainly due to increased shipments of the Mazda3, Mazda6 and Mazda2. On a market basis, exports to all regions increased; in particular, exports to Europe, Oceania and other markets (the Middle East and Asia) were healthy.
