Mazda to Establish National Sales Company in Poland
HIROSHIMA, Japan—Mazda Motor Corporation announced that it has approved the establishment of a new national sales company (NSC) in Poland. Mazda Motor Europe is now commencing with recruitment and contacting dealer prospects. Sales locations will focus during the first stage on urban areas such as Warszawa, Krakow, Poznan, Wroclaw and Katowice with the goal of commencing business operations of the new NSC in May 2008.
“The time is right for Mazda to establish its own sales network in Poland,” said James Muir, President and CEO of Mazda Motor Europe. “The Polish economy continues to recover and its automotive market is growing, so a Mazda-owned subsidiary has the potential to increase our customer-base in Europe. And in 2008, we will offer Polish customers our strongest line-up ever with all-new versions of the Mazda2 and the Mazda6.”
Over the last five years, Mazda Motor Europe has nearly doubled its sales while progressively establishing wholly-owned subsidiaries in mature markets throughout Europe. With 19 national sales companies covering 20 countries, Mazda now controls almost 90 percent of its distribution in Europe. |
