Regarding the Niigata Prefecture Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake
Mazda extends its best wishes for a swift recovery to the people affected by the Niigata Prefecture Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake which occurred on July 16, 2007.
Impact on Mazda’s operations A parts maker which was damaged during the Niigata Prefecture Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake on July 16 has suspended supply of one part to Mazda. In line with this development, Mazda has suspended production at its plants until Monday, July 23.
Production Suspension Dates and Affected Plants
More time is necessary to determine the recovery period for production to resume at the parts maker. As a result, Mazda will announce further information about the impact on next week’s operations at a later date, as information becomes available.
Disaster Zone Relief Efforts On Thursday, July 19, Mazda donated two million yen to the Japanese Red Cross to help support recovery efforts in the earthquake stricken area. |
