Organizational and Personnel Changes
Mazda Motor Corporation has announced the following organizational and personnel changes which are effective January 1, 2007.
1. Organizational Changes These organizational changes are aimed at strengthening Mazda’s personnel and labor initiatives from a global perspective through improved services in the personnel and human development departments. This is to be achieved by further developing the abilities of managers and staff members and how they are utilized within Mazda, while also working at improving levels of job satisfaction.
Mazda’s Executive Officer and General Manager of the Human Resources Division, Minoru Mitsuda, said, “These organizational changes have the goals of strengthening our strategic planning functions for the future and for the global development of personnel and labor. Fundamental to these changes is the desire to maximize the potential of our human resources and provide an even better working environment for our employees.”
Mazda announced that ‘leveraging human resources’ was one of the key measures of its Mazda Momentum midterm management plan, and it has been moving forward with infrastructure improvements. The company is actively developing its middle management ranks and fostering the development of its next generation of leaders. These changes are one of a series of efforts aimed at human resources development from a global perspective.
