Mazda Motor Corporation has upgraded its popular Mazda Demio compact car by significantly revising the equipment levels and upgrading the engine to deliver better fuel economy and greatly reduced emissions. With two new body colors added to the range, the enhanced models go on sale today at Mazda, Mazda Anfini and Mazda Autozam dealers throughout Japan. |

The latest model Demio boasts significantly improved fuel economy and emissions. With U-LEV (Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle) certification, the vehicle is eligible for a tax reduction of 32,000 yen - the 15,000 yen Automobile Acquisition Tax and the 17,000 yen Automobile Tax. |

Two new metallic colors - Celion Silver Metallic and Misty Blue Metallic - popular among female customers, have been added to the lineup. Affordable price and equipment for Cozy 1300cc |

Colored side protector moldings and dark tinted glass are now included as standard equipment on the popular Cozy 1300cc version while the price has been dropped to around 1,100,000 yen, placing it in the heart of the market for this class. The 1500cc model also has rear speakers in addition to the equipment above while the price remains unchanged. For other grades, the light gray interior of the Casual has been replaced with a refined ocean blue, while SPORT has received both exterior and interior enhancements to further reinforce product strength. |

Twenty-eight different catalog models, featuring various combinations of options popular on current models, are offered. In addition, package options have been reduced and items are sold separately leaving customers free to purchase only the equipment they require. The popular aero parts package, previously only available as a dealer option, is now offered as a factory-installed option for Cozy and Casual (1300cc/1500cc).
The aero package consists of a front aero bumper, side under spoiler, rear spoiler, and rear roof spoiler. |
