Roadster's Refined Limited Edition "NR Limited" To Go On Sale

- Distinctive and refined exterior along with deluxe and classical interior -

Mazda Motor Corporation will introduce the "NR Limited", a limited edition of its lightweight open sports car Roadster with more refined feel. Its sales will start from January 18, 2000 through Mazda Anfini and some Mazda dealers in Japan.

Mazda's Roadster has a distinctive and attractive exterior design and its superb road handling realizes its "fun to drive." It fully embodies Mazda's brand personality of "Stylish," "Insightful," and "Spirited." Since its first debut in 1989, Mazda's Roadster has been highly acclaimed by convertible sports car enthusiasts all over the world. The cumulative production of Roadster from the original generation, has exceeded 530,000 units as of the end of October 1999.

The NR Limited is based on the 1.8-liter S-model with 6-speed manual-transmission, and it employs the following special equipment in both exterior and interior, to meet the customer's demand asking for more refined specification.

- Distinctive and refined exterior features deep-red body panels, a beige soft top that matches the interior, and buffed aluminum wheels. - The interior is refined with a classic feel; an exclusive beige color scheme interior and its leather seats, NARDI's wood steering wheel that matches the exterior color, a wood shift knob, a white gauge meter panel with chrome-plated rings for the readout displays. - Additional features such as the BOSE sound system and power door locks provide extra comfort and convenience.

With these special features, the NR Limited further emphasizes the distinctiveness of the Mazda brand.

The sales of the NR limited are limited to only 500 units.
